CONFERENCE AT THE CENTRE OF PLANNING AND ECONOMIC RESEARCH, ENTITLED "GREECE: BETWEEN ORDER AND CHAOS"

Conference at the Centre of Planning and Economic Research, entitled "Greece: between Order and Chaos"

Dr Ritsa Panagiotou organised a Conference at the Centre of Planning and Economic Research, entitled "Greece: between Order and Chaos", with distinguished speakers from Greece and abroad. The first panel discussed the turbulent recent international developments and geopolitical upheavals, including the challenges of the second Trump Presidency, the future of the Atlantic Alliance and NATO and the reshaping of the Post-Cold War world order.  The second panel (moderated by Dr Panagiotou) focused on the impact of these new geopolitical realignments on Greece and the wider region, including the impact of the conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East, the new empowered role of Turkey and the need to adopt a more proactive Greek foreign policy.  Several of Dr Panagiotou's SEE students also attended and were actively involved in the discussion and Q&A!
