The Quality Assurance Policy of the Department of Philosophy is fully aligned with the Quality Policy of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. The Department is firmly committed to providing high-quality higher education in both Greek and English. To this end, it designs and delivers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes of high academic standards and significant added value in the principal disciplines and fields represented within the Department. Furthermore, the Department seeks to foster a creative environment that promotes research, freedom of academic expression, and productive work for all staff and members of its academic community.
The Department of Philosophy is committed to implementing this Quality Policy in the Joint Master’s Programme “Animals: Ethics, Law and Welfare,” both at present and in the future. It applies the quality assurance procedures prescribed by the University’s Internal Quality Assurance System, with the ultimate aim of continuously improving the Programme. This Quality Policy strengthens the Programme’s academic identity and orientation, advances its purpose and subject matter, and supports the achievement of specific objectives established annually. It also defines the means and methods by which these objectives are to be achieved and ensures the participation of relevant stakeholders in the Programme’s evaluation and redesign processes.
